Natalia Kurchanina - is the standard beauty of the large-scale competition «Moscow Beauty», who was chosen from thousands of applicants, eager to «try on» such a cherished title. Earlier, the supermodel joined the ranks of one of the leading modeling agencies and the result did not take long to wait. MODNY DOM met with one of the most successful and discussed models of our time to find out the secret of her success.

Natalia, today you are a successful model. How did you get into the modeling business?

Since my childhood I was a very artistic and impressionable child, I always dreamed of singing on stage and flaunting myself in the pages of fashionable glossy publications. My first time in model agency was thanks to my mother. I graduated from the model school at the age of 13, but nothing happened ... At that time I spent a lot of time studying, and decided that I want to connect my life with the jurisprudence. When I was 17 years old, I received a personal message in social networks from a well-known photographer, where he offered me shooting on tfp terms. The process of shooting was very exciting, and the result exceeded all my expectations! I decided to try again myself in the modeling business, because at that time my appearance and parameters corresponded all the requirements of modeling. I sent photos to several modeling agencies, went to interviews, the result - positive answers almost everywhere! So that was the beginning of my modeling career ... castings, shows, shootings.

What do you think determine the success of the model? One should be born, or become?

Success depends only on you and no one else. If you really want something, you need to work hard on this for a long time, until you reach your goal! Learn to accept falls and view them as a new chance to fly, never give up, improve in your business, invest 100% of your potential in your own self-development. The whole point of success, it seems to me, is to find yourself through deals that you really love. What is more, to be and remain a good person! Without this, everything becomes meaningless. And about the modeling, I want to tell the girls who are now taking their first steps in this difficult business: models are not born - they become. You have to be strong, efficient and creative. This model is not just a beautiful picture - it’s charisma in the photo, it’s a whole story, it’s a life, imprinted in one frame, which should inspire and make people feel.

How did your parents react to this choice?

I have full understanding with my parents, they support me in any beginnings, they know that if I have chosen something for myself, I will not give up and will achieve my goal. My family is proud of me and happy to share my success.

Few, even successful models, can afford to participate in beauty contests? What was your motivation to participate in «beauty-competitions»?

As I had already mentioned, I do not set boundaries or limits for development in the fashion industry. One of the sphere that I decided to try were beauty contests. They are quite different from modeling, it is a set of qualities that you need to demonstrate. It is a nice way to check yourself and your abilities for strength.

Which of the last projects have you remembered the most?

One of the last large-scale, and I would even say pompous projects, was shooting on the cover of the wedding magazine. Thanks to the cohesion of the team, work for 8 hours was not noticeable at all, and the result exceeded all our expectations.

The famous contest «Moscow Beauty» - a major event of the capital, which part had become you, too. What was the purpose of participating in this event?

It was, something new, unknown to me. Previously, I watched similar events only on the screen, and now I take part in them by myself. Preparation, the atmosphere of the competition, a little excitement is so exciting and I want to plunge into this environment again. I did not have a goal to become a «Moscow Beauty», but I won another nomination, which gives an opportunity to participate in the next beauty contest. I also want to note that at the contest I met wonderful people with whom I continue to communicate further and, most importantly, to cooperate.

Do you plan further developing in this direction? In which competitions do you want to take part?

Now, already having experience of participation in beauty contests and having formed a «complete list» of my goals and desires, I can afford to choose interesting events for me. The next stage is obvious - participation in the international beauty contest, as well as in large-scale Moscow. But this time, I’m determined only to win.

Do you have certain rules of life, the so-called principles? Are you more of a person of the case, or still a strategist?

I have an important rule: «Live in the real world»! To look at life with sober eyes, - magic genies that fulfill our desires, does not exist! Therefore, all the desires that we have, we achieve ourselves! Coming out of these words, you probably already understood that I treat myself more to the strategist, but the case definitely has some magical power. The case is a word familiar to us, however, not fully clear. The case can, for example, open the long-awaited veil of secrecy. Or maybe it’s cool to change this or that situation, or the person’s views on what is happening. But the strongest influence of the case we can find in changings of fate.

Honestly, you can be easily compared with the Hollywood celebrity, blond, well-groomed curls, trebling in the wind ... Do you often get attention from strangers?

From a quiet young age I travel a lot - «the cost of the profession» (laughs) and have really a lot of attention and I’m used to it. Of course, I’m very pleased to catch the admiring glances of strangers.

Tell us about your future plans?

Live with the flow - this is certainly a good plan, but to be left to the mercy of fate would be too light-mindedly. Therefore, in my head, I definitely plan my future events. And here is a small chain for my next 5 years: to get a diploma (by the way, I’m thinking about the second higher education), to open my business (maybe it will be a restaurant or a clothing line, maybe a beauty studio), meet a future husband, have kids.
