MD: Katya, good afternoon. All summer you worked hard. It’s autumn now, and you still have not a free minute, life «beats the key». Tell us, which project are you working on now?

KD: Hello to all the readers of the MODNY DOM! Hmm... I have a lot of projects, but (!), the most important project for me, to which all my regular time goes, is my own project called Katya Disney. Together with the team, we create a new trend in music. It is clearly expressed in the style of performance and in submission. The process itself is quite laborious, I do not want to «stamp» what exists in the music world, because we try to work out every detail again. And that’s why the terms are sometimes shifted.

MD: As one of the country’s most experienced music experts, the person of the BLACK STAR label, can you predict how bright will be the new project of Timati and Max Fadeev called «Songs» on TNT?

KD: What do you think (laughs)? I do not think it’s necessary to be a professional music expert in order to predict the highest evaluation of this project. Producers who gave the country (and the world) such big names as Linda, «Serebro», Elena Temnikova, Julia Savicheva, Glukoza, Nargiz, Egor Chrid, L -one, Mot, Nathan, known for their cooperation with Pugacheva, Lolita, Leps, Kirkorov ... and, this list can be continued indefinitely. We are creating a new show business! We have already selected the participants of the project and very soon a new music show will start on TNT’s TV channel, the level of which is off scale, so believe me!

MD: Is your main task on the project «Songs» - working with the participants as a musician, or more as a choreographer?

KD: On the «Songs» project, my functions were initially associated with the selection of participants. I am one of the curators of the project and I work in the team of Timati. My main goal is to help an ordinary person become a real artist, and one vocal is not enough here. Acting skills, choreography, voice control, selection of repertoire, style... I help create artists! People always smile next to me and I am already a «talisman» on projects that charges with positive, gives charisma and gives the right setting for working on oneself and development. So please contact if you decide to become a star too (laughs).

MD: You have serious work load on television, that was one of the reasons to shift the shooting of Katya Disney’s debut video. How did you react to this and how do you plan to build a personal work schedule?

KD: To be honest, here it all came to ridiculous ... I’m a perfectionist person, and naturally, both to others and to myself, I’m «Sooo» demanding. That’s why, if I do not like some moment, we necessarily either modify it, or change it, or even remove it altogether. Exactly the same goes for the people I select for my team. Participants in the team for the project Katya Disney, I did not type for the sake of quantity and not in order to do it all in a faster way. After all, these people should not only work, but also live in the style that I need. They must be cosmic, spiritual and «torn off» at the same time ... And in order to reveal a person in this aspect, time is needed. In my project, I do not want any «superfluous passenger». I’m soft for the time being, but when I do not like something, either the person fixes it in himself, or I say goodbye to him. I’m sorry, but these are the rules of show business. As for my debut video, only the script changed three times, hence the timing shift. I’m punctual in life and with this I have no problems. But I do not just want to start my first job ... I want to make sure everyone says Wow! Do you understand? It’s no secret to anyone that I’m working in terminator mode (laughs), but I still have to plan the schedule. Speaking of the near future, it is: the «Songs» TV project, work with my favorite artists from the label Black Star, recording my third song and, of course, for all the long-awaited shooting of my debut video. In breaks are planned to travel to Europe, with a stop at Disneyland (laughs).

MD: In the previous issue, you told us that Katya Disney is equally sincere and direct in life and on the screen, and this is your main secret of success both in career and in your personal life. And is there a certain set of professional skills with which you are currently at the top positions in the media business?

KD: In order to be on top in any field, the set of skills is standard enough. In our case, and personally in my case, I cannot say today that I’m «doing work» ... This is my way of life, style, if you want ... That’s why I do not have days off, there is no clear schedule. I live by music, I live by what I create and what I present to the masses. The main thing for me is sincerity and spontaneity. When you love your job and live it, sooner or later you will achieve heights. It’s only a matter of time. I’ll tell you one more secret: my colleagues call me strange (in a good way), because I’m constantly guided by feelings. I feel like I should write this down, I feel that this person should not work with us, I feel that I will soon get married (laughs), I feel that tomorrow will be a good day for recording a new song, I feel that my album is the success of the last decade!

MD: What is the scale of development you set for yourself? For example, will Katya Disney in ten years collect world stadiums?

KD: Oooh! I was waiting for this question (laughs). Naturally, I plan to conquer this world, and so that my words do not sound too loud, I will reveal to you a little secret. Initially, my project was to be launched in the states, but because of the banal refusal of the visa, everything changed radically, so in order to start the process, of course, I started in Russia, then it will be the countries of the near abroad, Europe, America, Africa, islands (laughs). In fact, no matter where to start your journey, it is important how exactly you start it, because all people on the planet, speak different languages, can understand only one language - the language of music- unconditionally. Stadiums - not an indicator for me and not a goal, because today you can build a stadium, and tomorrow they will forget about you. My main goal is to leave a trace in the history of music. In my opinion, this is better than all the stadiums in the world.

MD: By the way, about personal ... Is there a place, and most importantly, the time in life so strong, daring and strong-willed Katya Orlova for amorous affairs? And the main thing... What is he, a guy worthy of your choice?

KD: The place is vacant (laughs). And if it’s serious, now I’m free again. There is also a desire for the same, but there is absolutely no time to even go to a date. The man now grinded (sad sighs). I have quite high requirements for the applicant for the society, but quite simple for me. I will say only one thing: my chosen one must necessarily be a person of business (and only then words), charismatic, with sense of humor, necessarily self-sufficient, who can earn good money (yes, for me this is an indicator of the mind of a man), be sure to support me, after all, my goals, as you understand, are global, and for nothing in the world (!) not educate. For this, there are children, dogs if you want, BUT NOT me. He must love sports, travel and dogs. He must «smell» of masculinity and wisdom. I dream to meet a man, whom I will look at as God! The truth (by the way, only now understood), I dream to meet a man similar to my daddy, after all, listed all those qualities that he possesses... But in my life there was banal love, a standard marriage and passing passengers. But I know that somewhere on the planet my person walks and we will definitely meet. I feel that soon (laughs).

MD: I know that you are connected with your mother with a particularly trembling relationship. Tell about it.

KD: Ooooh ... My answer is this: I love my mother so much, until trembling, until I cry, to catch my breath. First of all, we are her best friends. With Mom, we always have something to talk about, we joke a lot, she knows everything about my life! We conduct a joint cultural life in the form of campaigns in the theater, at musicals, exhibitions, movies ... Sometimes we travel together ... My mother is familiar with all my close friends and colleagues, and this is cool! In adolescence, I was not a gift, and apparently now, at the subconscious level, I fill this cup ... And you want, so: Mother is my talisman and the main critic. We live in different countries, but we keep in touch and communicate absolutely every day. After all, only when you get older, you begin to understand the real value of family and family relationships.

MD: Your energy is huge! Where is the «mini power station Katya DISNEY buried»?

KD: Do you feel it too? Super! Then I will say so ... My energy comes from love! It’s simple: I’m filled with love for myself first of all, for life, for what I do in music, what I express in my work, in love with people I talk to, animals, nature ... I do not like to «negate» completely devoid of feelings of envy, anger, fear, hatred, and more recently, a sense of jealousy (laughs). After all, this is what destroys people. I think so: we have the right to create our own world, do not like it - do not communicate, do not want - do not do it, it irritates you - do not look. I do not have time to even think about the bad, because the first thoughts of my free moments are thoughts about my favorite dog, sleep and food (laughs). After communicating with me, people are always nice and easy, and it’s a fact! They smile and laugh. Some even leave my life and then they still understand it. With firm confidence I can say about myself that I am a good person and such people as I unfortunately are not enough. Therefore, very often, despite the scope of my activities, I still prefer solitude, or the society of «my» people. And yet, the childhood in which I am still, and which, I hope, will never end. I enjoy the present, because I have understood for a long time that everything in life is timely. I believe in karma, I do not do bad to people and I smile even when the world collapses (laughs). And even my guardian angels are not like everyone else, but with a share of insanity, but that’s another story …

M.D.: Katya, hello. Everyone knows that you are a BLACK STAR person. How did it happened that you get to the best producing company in the country?

K.D.: As you know, it’s not easy to get into our structure, but I’m probably lucky one, it’s a reward for my past labors. After all, in the company Black Star, I occupy two positions as a choreographer and editor of Black Star radio. Communication with my friends-artists played a certain role (laughs), because earlier, when I was working in Ukraine and doing staging for Ukrainian stars, I became famous for scandalous numbers, and Timati personally invited me for an interview. Apparently it is peculiar to him to recruit strong and daring players. I am one of those who can challenge, first of all to myself.

M.D.: Are there many responsibilities on your fragile female shoulders now? Tell us about your tasks in the company?

K.D.: I work in the department for the musical development of the label and individual artists. But I have one big responsibility - I listen to a lot of different music. It is important for me to be always on the wave and to trace both qualitative and Western trends, because I directly interact with our artists when writing, recording and releasing songs and albums. My opinion is quite significant in the «Blackstar» music chain. Therefore, those hits that you are accustomed to hear at home or in cars, watch clips on music channels, in the sky or listen to the waves of radio stations - before they are approved directly by the leadership pass through me. I also have postproduction, communication with the media and with customers, organizers, production centers, booking. Therefore, if you want to interact in one of these areas with our stars - first WELCOME to me (winks).

M.D.: We already know your little secret ... It’s true - do you start a solo career?

K.D.: I will say so - the role of the gray cardinal is done, and I’m ready to set foot on the path of solo creativity. Work on the launching is in full swing and I want to say that I plunged into this process with my head. For me, as for a professional who stood «beyond the artist», this is a new page in my biography. And despite the fact that I myself rule my career - it’s a completely different emotion. I’m sure that the listener will also feel the euphoria of my work.

M.D.: What makes a good show and a good artist?

K.D.: I think that a good artist must necessarily have contact with the listener. The energy that he possesses ...For sure, important is what he brings to the masses, so to say his Massage. And if he does not enjoy being on the stage - then the audience will quickly go out. After all, music is a synthesis of emotions and feelings of two sides, both the performer and the viewer.

M.D.: What has prompted you to such a decision?

K.D: I had a dream that I should sing. And I trust the dreams more than people, they never let me down. This became a sacred sign for me, so to say a «starting point». In general, I confess honestly, becoming part of the BLACK STAR label’s team, being in a constant cycle of the work process, and having constant contact with the stars - all these moments played their role. My energy is bursting, and I’m ready to start my OWN «dialogue with the listener».

M.D.: Katya Disney - a representative of a new generation of performers. How are you going to surprise the listener and viewer?

K.D.: My work will necessarily reflect the subtle moments of the relationship between people. My mission is to show that being yourself is fashionable! After all, lately we live in lies, we are only interested in money, status, we put on masks and walk in them through the streets. I’m a rebel by nature and I want the truth - that’s what the way I’ll surprise, no matter how strange it may sound. After all, many artists create images and overact with them. With the help of my creativity I want to convey people how important is to be always yourself. I’m going to do this through my unusually frank songs and quite shocking and daring images, actually the same as my character! I am a person of mood and if, for example, I want to go out and sing in plush pajamas and curlers, I can easily do it! Vocal, of course, will not leave you indifferent. After all, I continue to work hard, because the process of training itself turns me on.

M.D.: When will the premiere of your debut single?

K.D.: Now the work is hard in the studios. Ahead is a trip to the States, which will finally put us in a time frame. After all, we fly to choose locations for the debut video and are sure that the first song will blow up the show business. Do you need a timeline? I will say one thing - in the beginning of summer, It will be hot!

M.D.: Exclusively for the magazine MODNY DOM - at least a little bit open the curtain, how will you surprise the audience with your debut video work?

K.D.: You can’t excite everyone, because every spectator is on his wave. I will say one thing - someone who understands us, he will really get enjoyment from work. The video will involve very beautiful people, talented dancers, all sorts of locations from luxury to New York streets like Long Wood Avenue in the Bronx, and my image will remain unchangeable, as my principle, you already understood, is everywhere and in everything to be myself. But how it will be in the real world and what kind of love affair will be held through this story with an unconventional ending, you can see for yourself by looking at the work.

M.D.: Your tattoos - there are so many of them, and after all, they are not just on your body?

K.D.: Tell us more about their origins. It all started with one tattoo, like everyone else, and then it went (laughs). My tattoos first of all have more artistic design than some sacred meaning. I make this choice consciously and purposefully every time to not regret in the future. I treat my drawings on the body as design patterns (after all, they are a limited collection, not all have them). They create my image, like clothes, accessories or jewelry, only tattoos are more durable. Therefore, I approached the choice of the master very carefully and finally found him ...and I’m not going to change him. Yes, and the work I have, you know, around all are such colorful and unordinary, it inspired me to draw to myself.
